You joining fee will automatically entitle you to our WhatsApp groups and Microsoft Team community and access to our confidential web content. If you join from a region, which is not served by us, we’ll refund your money less the processing fees. Rules of groups*

With full respect of all Data Protection laws as they are in power within the United Kingdom at present, we pledge that

  • all printed data is held within locked premises
  • all data on mobile devises is secured with 2-step verification and the use of Authenticator app, face recognition
  • No joint WiFi or data networks are used to connect to the Internet
  • All data protected by latest operating systems, firewalls and anti-hack devices.
  • Service provided by a webmaster and coder with experience of commercial web services.
  • No data access for those without security clearance.

Privacy

In lieu of a full statement, please note

  • we do not share any data with Met Police, Tower Hamlets Council, THNWA, Ourwatch, OWL.
  • We forward crime report information to Met Police and Council as requested either in person or anonymously by our users, subscribers.
  • We forward anonymised crime statistics and prevention information to Tower Hamlets Police and Tower Hamlets Council Safer Neighbourhood Teams as well as SNB.
  • We refer members to Tower Hamlets Police SNT Ward Panels on request only.
  • We do not create any watch schemes where members see each other’s details.
  • We support referral to Tower Hamlets Council Safer Neighbourhood Events on request of members only.
  • No people other than our subscribers have access to our live chats and services.
  • Our WhatsApp announcements Community does not show details of subscribers.
  • Ability to choose user name other than real name visible to other users.

Whatsapp / Teams

Tower Hamlets Crime Watch community enables topic based discussions groups if there is a demand and a moderator volunteers to run the group.

WhatsApp and Teams group for messaging always admin posts when new messages are available and

  • chatting is normally available daily. Chat only for confirmed members, no strangers allowed.

We are running various social media groups / pages

*Rules of member WhatsApp or Teams groups

  1. All new members must be verified by their initial membership payment/enrolment.
  2. Always be polite, do not swear
  3. No indecent images words of any sort allowed
  4. Do not contact other users for private chats
  5. Foreign conflicts only as they affect us
  6. No religious, sexist, racist discriminating opinions.
  7. No links to other WhatsApp groups or websites. Views must be in line with accepted local, national, laws
  8. Availability of groups chat normally 7am – 9pm but can vary
  9. info group, admin only, always open
  10. If you do not want to be disturbed set your phone to not notify you with sound of new WhatsApp messages.
  11. No images to be reproduced outside of the group if market confidential
  12. Do not copy and paste group conversations outside of the group.
  13. Flouting rules will have you removed from the groups without a right for a refund for your joining fee.
  14. All group members’ opinions outside of the groups are their own ones and are not regulated by rules of Tower Hamlets Crime Watch.
  15. Members who are found to engage in or support criminal activity or reside outside our area, will be removed immediately.
  16. Topic discussion groups – political – can be formed upon approval of admin.
