The concept of “Strongest Ever Neighbourhoods” in Tower Hamlets refers to a community-led initiative aimed at fostering stronger neighbourhoods through partnership and collaboration. A notable event related to this initiative is the Community Conversations event, which was held on Wednesday, 17 January 2024

This event was about bringing together the community of all ages and backgrounds to shape discussions with the Senior Leaders of Met Police on the launch of the Strongest Ever Neighbourhoods in Tower Hamlets1It provided a platform for community members to engage in discussions and share their perspectives, aiming to shape the cultural landscape of the borough1If you’re looking for more information or similar events, the Tower Hamlets Town Hall could be a good place to start2.

Join us to continually discuss improvements strategies and direct communication with partners from Tower Hamlets Police and the Tower Hamlets Safety Partnership.

We need people who ask questions and are inquisitive and look for answers. Working constructively with partners, we need to improve and support. See the meeting of the London Policing Board 4/6/24 with Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley.

attended the follow on event and met the borough commander.

The Clear, Hold and Build strategy to tackle persistent problems organised crime has on communities are built into community policing now.

Having watched the London Policing Board scrutiny meeting today, it seems the MOPAC is making an effort to implement the governments Clear, Hold and Build concept. Having heard how improvements on policing administration is made, I missed a reference to the fact, that Met Police has introduced and is still introducing new IT systems across the board, which is why there are no stats are available on the Met Police website currently.

However the problem of abstractions has always existed and that local teams are re-stocked by other officers should be a given and not a new invention, as it seems to be made out by the meeting.
