In the UK, Police officers are not routinely armed with weapons. The most common implement with the capacity to inflict stunning of persons are the baton and Tasers.
Armed interference with shots being fired are rare.
Every incident, which results in the death of a person is tragic but in the vast majority of cases unavoidable.
The latest court judgment in the Chris Kaba death, the jury found the officer, who discharged his firearm, not guilty unanimously.

A reporting restriction has been lifted to inform us that Chris Kaba was a ‘core member’ in a nightclub shooting.
