We belief that the improved discipline for all kerb-side waste and recycling collections brings an improvement. Better cleanliness helps reduce ASB and crime. It is a well established fact that the broken window effect occurs with messy streets. This effect can only be countered by improving cleanliness and maintenance.

We very much welcome this new policy from Tower Hamlets Council, which only applies from 2. December 2024 to

• town centers
• main commercial areas

such areas do not have bin storage areas and waste and recycling gets collected kerb-side daily.

Tower Hamlets Council collects waste and recycling twice daily at scheduled times.
