The BBC is streaming a series of films to cover the tragic events about the London Bombings on 7/7.

These are four episodes we all encourage to watch.

It’s very unpredictable when such an atrocity is going to happen. If you are stuck on a train or other enclosed environment, you have few options.

Training about risk awareness is available online free of charge for everyone.

When out and about, always report any suspicious or anything that doesn’t feel right.

Anti Terror police encourage all reports, saying you will NOT waste their time.

One crucial aspect to consider is my ability to run away quickly. This is important in case of an unexpected incident. Can my dependents run away quickly too?

Run, hide, tell is a public security technique used in the United Kingdom in the event of a firearms-based terrorist attack1The technique involves the following steps23:

  1. Run to a place of safety.
  2. Hide and barricade yourself in.
  3. Turn your phone to silent and use only when it is safe to do so.
  4. Make sure you know the local emergency numbers in the country you are travelling to. For all EU countries call 112.
  5. Consider the safest options.
  6. Insist others leave with you, but don’t let their indecision slow you down.
  7. Leave belongings behind.
  8. Do not attempt to film the incident.
