Theft prevention for personal theft and other types of theft are a constant aim. Metropolitan Police volunteers, like myself, have helped reduced crime around Buckingham Palace by 25%.

I go around the crowd. I advise people of weaknesses in their bags. I tell them what attracts a thief to try and steal, thieves may believe it is worth taking.

Of course, in an ideal world nobody would take anything without permission. It definitely is never your fault if somebody takes your stuff.

Phone thefts

We are working with Tower Hamlets Council to bring Police Volunteer support here. These volunteers will work with borough police officers. They will patrol alongside and speak with people.
