Speak Up
Everyone can speak up this White Ribbon Day by sharing a photo or video on social media, at work and with friends and family saying why you speak up for women and girls.
Use #WeSpeakUp on social media to spread the word.
Together we can inspire everyone to speak up!
A new era VAWG and Women’s Safety Strategy from Tower Hamlets Council for 2024 – 2029 has been published.

The White Ribbon Campaign encourages men to wear a white ribbon. They pledge to never commit male violence against women. They also pledge to never excuse or remain silent about it. Please sign the White Ribbon pledge, which can be found on the White Ribbon website
16 days of activism against gender based violence
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is on 25 November. It marks the beginning of 16 Days of Activism. This is the international campaign against gender violence.
The council and our partners utilise the 16 days of activism to raise awareness of gender-based violence. They highlight the support available for both victims and perpetrators.
