I’m really happy and feel a sense of relief since I’m off Ourwatch.

I did promote them for years but it was misguided loyalty. I got funded in 2012 to create a Neighbourhood Watch Association and I did. What brought on the change in attitude were:

• Complaints. People reported being attacked after putting Neighbourhood Watch stickers in their windows.
• Time. The amount of meetings I was asked to attend was 😟 seriously infringing on my freedom to do anything else. The Ourwatch site was not popular for Tower Hamlets, just a few hundred registrants. A lot of people left with my departure.
• Verification problems. Ourwatch does not require any verification and NextDoor’s verification method is not reliable. A letter with proof of address is easily forged. 50.000 social homes being used for fraud in London.
• Privacy. You have no privacy on Ourwatch. You are disclosing your address and contact details. Most people want to get to know each other first and feel they can trust one another before exchanging address.

It was impossible to verify 85% of people on the Ourwatch website.

With this new Crime Watch ⌚️ initiative I’ve started, I’m happy. I don’t force people to register on any other website to take part. Third party providers always have their own values.

I want people to be able to get support when they need it without having to become responsible for their area 🗺️ as coordinators. It’s impossible to plan your own life if you are contracted to be coordinators. We enable people to chat to each other without having to live in close proximity of each other.

Crime Watch does not have coordinators. As a Crime Watch member, you are part of a like-minded community. Our people want to see safe, clean, stable, and crime-free communities.

Unfortunately there is no funding for this freedom of choice. Hence, I ask new participants to donate £5. This amount goes towards the cost of equipment, electricity, and data to run the peripherals needed to do this.

It is very important to have the latest operating systems and phone technology to provide a safe service. I’m a computer programmer and web master. I have a lot of experience working on the Internet, in communication, and with law enforcement.

We provide a service for people who use modern communications technology. We hope this is time-saving and doesn’t drain your resources. Additionally, we strive to enhance your sense of well-being.
